Download Revit Files in 3 Easy Steps

As part of our ongoing effort to provide the latest technologies to our customer’s, Temperzone has embraced Building Information Modelling (BIM) and now provides 3D Revit models of our air conditioning units for Temperzone and Hitachi Product from temperzone.biz.. This will assist HVAC engineers in the design and drafting of their BIM projects.

Autodesk Revit is the BIM software package of choice for most professionals. In an HVAC capacity, Revit software has the ability to automatically perform the calculations needed to ensure the correct ducting and water flow systems are in place in relation to an individual or group of air conditioning units. For example Revit enables a user to analyse the efficiency of water pipe connections between a group of fan coil units and their corresponding chiller or the efficiency of a ducting system in relation to the airflow supplied by a specific ducted split system.

Temperzone has developed Revit models for the majority Temperzone and some of Hitachi air conditioning units. These are available under the ‘CAD Drawings’ list for individual products, termed ‘RFA Download’, on www.temperzone.biz. These models are 3D representations of units which have been set up to enable users to analyse their systems. Each model includes much of the standard technical data which can be referenced by the user e.g. nominal performance specifications. Within each Revit model, standard options can be turned on and off through the use of tick boxes which will automatically alter the 3D model to suit e.g. left or right handed, filter box or no filter box, forwards or downwards discharge.

How to download Revit Files for Temperzone or Hitachi products.
 

Step 1. Go to temperzone.biz and find the specific product using the search function. This will bring you to a page that looks like this:

Step 2. Click the large blue button labelled “View Product Info”. This will take you to the product information page for that product. Product information pages collect all the technical information links for that product in one page view. Included in the downloads available are tech data sheets, Installation and Maintenance guides, accessories lists and listed under CAD Drawings are options to download 2D DXF or 3D Revit files.




Step 3. Download the file by clicking on the link. DXF and Revit files are downloaded in Zip folders so you will need appropriate software like WINZip or 7-Zip to open the folders.



Revit files can only be opened with the Autodesk Revit software.
