Hitachi Multizone: The Ideal Choice for Premium Apartments

Multi Split air conditioning systems have become very popular, particularly at the prestige end of the residential apartment market. The space saving of a single outdoor unit combined with the flexibility of multiple indoor heads make products like Hitachi Multi Zone from Temperzone the ideal choice for high rise developments.

The perfect example of this is a recently completed project of prestige residential apartments in Sydney’s south. With each of the 323 apartment over selling for over $1 million, the Contractor was obviously focused on the quality and reliability aspect of the project, yet also conscious of the price.

The Hitachi Multi Zone system gave the Contractor the flexibility of combining one outdoor unit with multiple indoor units which can be high wall, ducted or cassette type heads, depending on the configuration required.

Inside the apartments, the Multi Zone System offers amazing flexibility, control and efficiency to the tenants. Individual zone controllers allow the residents to adjust the comfort setting for each zone, giving them the freedom to choose the exact set point, or turn a zone off.

The flexibility offered by the piping system also ensured the prestigious exterior of the building remained aesthetically pleasing. The piping is quite thin, easy to conceal and can be run a long way. It is perfect for those situations where there is very little room or no room to work with.

As with most large apartment projects, the competition was fierce, with many of the major brands throwing their hat into the ring.

According the NSW Sales Engineer Tony Intili, key factors in Hitachi Multi Zone product being selected for this project were;

  • “Hitachi’s reputation for manufacturing high quality, reliable products, combined with Temperzone’s service, spares and warranty system gave the Contractor confidence in the product. We were able to supply the entire project ex stock, which was also a very important factor.”
  • “On a project like this it is really important to ensure the contractor has confidence in both our product and our service. We arranged for the contractor to come out to our Sydney Head Office where they were given an orientation on the product, a tour of our factory and warehouse and an introduction to our service and spare parts teams.”
  • “Temperzone even arranged for our Hitachi units to be installed in the site office, giving the Contractor firsthand experience of the Hitachi quality and control.”

As of September the complex was fully occupied with very happy residents enjoying the comfort and control of Hitachi Multi Zone air conditioning, no matter what the temperature is outside.
